Thelemic I Ching

As a subset of the 729 Hexagrams of Trigrammaton, all of the I Ching Hexagrams have a numerical value. These values are used as gematria totals to determine verses from the Holy Books of Thelema that are used to "translate" the text of the I Ching. Every phrase used for this purpose has the same value as the Hexagram itself, except for the line texts.
The 'name' given to each of the Hexagrams has been taken primarily from Greg Whincup's "Rediscovering the I Ching", among other sources. Where possible, and appropriate, many of these Hexagram names have been replaced or supplemented by words or phrases, having the value of the Hexagram, in either TEG or Greek gematria.
The 'Judgment' is the overall meaning of the Hexagram, and is the default reading if there are no changing lines occurring. The 'Image' is the actual structure of the Hexagram based on how it looks and where the Yin and Yang lines occur.

The values of the single lines are based on what Hexagram is the Transition between the Cast and the Becoming Hexagrams. These should only be read when a single line is changing. If that line is considered as Tao, then the value of that line is the value of the hidden Hexagram as a whole. The line texts are, in effect, the 'Judgment' of the Hexagram that would have a Tao, or null, value in that single position, instead of a Yang or Yin.

The Lines are loose 'translations' made in the spirit of the original line texts of the Duke of Chou, but from a Thelemic perspective. These verses can be read for any changing lines in the cast Hexagram, but are only part of the divination proper if there is a single line changing. The resulting Hexagram is then consulted for its Judgment.
Using this work to determine the meanings of divinations veers into both the mystical and magickal aspects of each Hexagram. The advice given can change from third person to first person and vice versa, as well as describe situations in abstract. The method of generating these Hexagrams can be whatever the adept finds most suitable, although the Sixteen System is the most mathematically exact.

Recall that the lines have a basic meaning that runs through most of the Hexes:

Line 1 is the beginning, or the foot, and is sometimes difficult;
line 2 is the place of the king's subject, or a servant, or the common folk.
Line 3 is the place of danger,
line 4 is the place of a Minister,
line 5 is the place of the King, and
line 6 is the end of the situation, or the head, or going so far that there is a 'fall from grace' so to speak.
