Thelemic I Ching

The Gematria of the King Wen Sequence of Hexagrams.

The following prayer was created using the values of the 64 I Ching Hexagrams as gematria totals. Many have been frustrated to find a mathematical logic behind the ordering of the famous King Wen sequence of Hexagrams. Perhaps none such will ever be found, but it is possible that the received sequence can be seen as a description of a nobleman's journey through the hierarchy of feudal China. In that spirit, this prayer is a sequence of linked verses describing the path of a Thelemite doing the Great Work.
